Testimonials

Cynthia—the incredible hands and heart behind these Quilts of Armor—I’ve had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the compassion, care, and passion you pour into every single piece. What stands out most is not just the craftsmanship, but the impact. Watching first responders and military members—people who have given so much in service to others—receive one of your quilts is incredibly moving.

It’s more than a quilt. It’s a tangible reminder of community, connection, and the truth that healing is possible. It reminds them that they are seen, valued, and deeply worthy of love and care.

The quality of your work is unmatched, and knowing that each quilt is made by hand makes it even more extraordinary. Your talent is undeniable, but it’s your heart that truly sets this apart. To know your story, your resilience, and the way you’ve chosen to channel that into supporting others—it’s nothing short of exceptional.

It’s an honor to know you, and an even greater honor to witness the kindness and healing you bring into the world through your work.

Thank you, Cynthia, for what you do. You are deeply appreciated, and the impact you’re making in the lives of our first responder and military communities is profound.

Serving military members, veterans, and first responders at EHN Guardians Gateway, we witness extraordinary courage every day. The individuals who walk through our doors have carried the weight of service, sacrifice, and trauma in ways most people will never fully understand. Healing is a complex journey and meaningful gestures of recognition can make a profound difference.

When our clients are honoured with quilts by Cynthia from Quilts of Armour, the impact is immediate and deeply moving. These quilts are far more than handcrafted blankets. They are tangible symbols of gratitude, respect, and appreciation for their sacrifices.

We have watched our clients and alumni, become visibly touched as they are wrapped in a quilt made with care and intention. That moment often becomes part of their healing story: a reminder that they are seen, valued, and not alone.

Cynthia’s dedication, compassion, and commitment to honouring those who serve our communities, aligns beautifully with our mission at EHN. On behalf of our entire organization, and most importantly the clients we serve, we extend our deepest gratitude. The quilts provide warmth in more ways than one, and their impact will be felt for years to come.

Cindy's passion for making these quilts is unmeasurable, the time and dedication spent to make such beautiful quilts is profound. Cindy saw the need to be able to honour First Responders in their service, dedication and sacrifices they have made to the communities or facilities they work in. Each quilt is so unique and beautiful and I want to thank you for this work you are doing. I thank you as a First Responder (23 years of service) and as the EHN Guardians Alumni Coordinator, and an Alumni myself. Thank you for the huge donation of quilts for the facility to bring comfort and safety to the EHN Guardians clients in treatment. Thank you for all the past and future presentations you have made, in gifting special personalized quilts to First Responders you were able to honour. Your work is important.

If there is a First Responder you want to receive a quilt and honour their sacrifices, submit a request here on the site. If you want to help others receive quilts, donations of materials or funds to purchase materials could do that. Lets help Cindy in her journey to honour more recipients!

I felt truly honored when I was presented with my quilt from Quilts of Armour. Having seen firsthand the time, care, and love that go into each quilt, receiving one myself is incredibly meaningful. Every time I wrap myself in it, I feel comforted and deeply grateful. Thank you, Cindy, and Quilts of Armour, for this beautiful gift.
